What is a NVQ/CSCS Cards

NVQ (National Vocational Qualification)

The NVQ is a work-based qualification which recognises the skills and knowledge a person needs to do a job. The candidate (You) needs to demonstrate and prove competency in their chosen role or career path.

The qualification usually requires a number of separate units so that we can build a portfolio of evidence to prove your experience and competence on each machine/unit. The portfolio will compromise of mandatory and chosen units and these have strategies set which you must adhere to.

CSCS Cards

Within the construction industry is a CSCS card operated system run by Construction Skills Certification Scheme, the different colour CSCS cards denote position and competence, we focus on helping you obtain the blue trade CSCS card for a Level 2 NVQ or gold CSCS card for Supervisors L3/L4.

For example a carpenter working on one of the many major contractor sites will require a blue coloured CSCS card to simply have access and allowed to work on site, a NVQ Level 2 Carpentry will need to be completed first to be able to order the CSCS card.

But I don't have a CSCS card, how can you come to my site to take photos or videos?
CSCS do offer a temporary red CSCS card for experienced workers in the process of completing their NVQ, we can help with this to, just message or call us with this query.
